2017 Caring Boss Awards

  • Carmarthenshire Caring Boss Awards

The search is on to find Carmarthenshire’s most caring boss.

Nominations are now open for Carmarthenshire Caring Boss Awards 2017.

The awards recognise an employer or manager at work who has demonstrated support and understanding for employees who are in a caring role. This could include being helped by an employer or manager at work through their flexibility and accommodation to assist carers at difficult times.

The awards were launched in 2015 and are held every two years. There are three categories – bronze, silver and gold with the presentation taking place on Carers Rights Day, November 24.

Carers provide support to vulnerable, sick or disabled people. The care they provide is unpaid and many carers struggle to manage their caring responsibilities whilst holding down employment.

Carmarthenshire Council’s Joint Carers Development Officer, Jonathan Rees said: “Nearly half of carers work whilst carrying out their caring duties. These awards recognise and honour those who support their employees by accommodating their needs and providing a flexible working environment.”

If you have been fortunate enough to have such an employer or manager at work then nominate them now below. For a hard copy of the nomination pack please call into the Carers Information Service on 0300 0200 002 or email info@carmarthenshirecarers.org.uk.
